The usual ZTDA tour is a combination of walking/hiking/trekking in the natural environment, combined with exploration of local culture and traditions. All the services included in the tour package are delivered by local services providers in an environmentally friendly way.

In conducting the tour, guides, drivers and other service providers pay attention to the ecology. We also provide our tourists with some ecological, cultural and social tips for their travel, enabling them not only to find easily a common language with local people, but also to help to conserve the natural environment and local cultural heritage.

We are convinced that the best way to explore local culture is to experience the way of life of the people from inside, from within the community, by staying at traditional home stays, exploring the village, enjoying folklore shows organised by villagers, getting to know old techniques of handicraft production, and visiting holy places and archaeological sites with the villagers.

Zerafshan Valley is a region with a great diversity of animals, beautiful nature and rich culture. Please could you take time and look at some tips from our side. By following these tips you could find a common language with local people easily, but also help to conserve the natural environment and cultural heritage for the future generations.

Tailor-made tours

Apart from the offered tour programs, we design the tours according to your preferences if you wish. Our sample programmes on this page can give you an idea of what you could undertake in the Zerafshan Valley.

You can request itinerary and quotation, information about the area you are interested to visit, the main features of the tour (duration, accommodation preferred, difficulty of hiking/trekking, main program points you are interested in), and the services you wish to be included.

If you see the following sign while choosing the tour, it means that the tour includes some walks in the nature. The walks might be no longer than 5 hours.

	Trips of most complexity	If you are fond of mountain trips and you rare not scared of passing over the passes, then this tour is for you. Trips of these tours may take 7 hours and 30 km in a day. Some physical preparedness would be needed.
	Walking and non-categorical trips
	Culture	Taking part on our combined tours „nature + culture“, you will have an unique opportunity to learn the Tajik history and culture, by visiting ancient towns and archeological sites.
	Trip on bicycle	Close to Iskanderkul Lake you will have the opportunity to tour on bicycles. You may take you own bicycle, but also may rent bicycle in Saratog village.
	Horse riddin tours	If you are fond of riding horse, then these tours are made for you specially.
	Foto hunting: discover the world of animals	During trip and walks of the tour you may happen to see marmots, foxes in a distance wolves, and even bears.
	Pilgrimage to holy places	There are many holy places in Zerafshan Valley, where you can go for pilgrimage taking one of these suggested tours up.
	Getting acquainted with the life ad traditions of mountain zerafshanees	One of the brightest moments of your vacation – it is getting to know the originality of traditional life of Tajik villagers. In these tours you may come to know with the way if living, traditions and cultures of Tajik families in remote villages.
	Folklore shows	The peculiarities of some tours – it is folklore show. Traditional dances, music, singings, life sketches will be shown by the inhabitants of the places which you visit in this tour.
